Call For Papers

NEAR Language Education Conference 2024

The 16th Annual NEAR Language Education Conference will be held on Saturday, June 29th, 2024, in-person at the Niigata University of International and Information Studies. Teachers and researchers in language education, including student researchers, are invited to submit proposals for presentations and poster session in the following areas:

- applied research & curriculum design

- materials development

- teaching practice/pedagogy

- assessment & evaluation

The theme of the conference is "Creating and Sharing in the Language Teaching Context" and presenters are invited to explore original ideas, novel approaches and fresh perspectives. Papers which balance theoretical frameworks with practical applicability are preferred.

We also encourage proposals by students who would like to experience presenting at a conference in a supportive environment.

Presentation length: 40 minutes for presentations and workshops, as well as poster presentations

Vetting Decisions Announced: April 30th, 2024

All regular presenters are invited to submit to our peer-reviewed proceedings. Student presenters will not be able to submit to the proceedings.
